The Future of Office Work - Our Research Plan
Our research project works to address the first stage of our long term vision -- fine tuning a research agenda. We have coordinated specific activities, listed below, to help accomplish this goal.
Activity 1
Synthesize current knowledge on office work and office automation through a literature review. From this review, generate a set of thematic research areas and preliminary research questions.
Activity 2
Conduct focus groups using participatory design principles to draw insights from office workers on their daily practices. These focus groups will also be used after the workshop to validate and give insight on the proposed research agenda.
Activity 3
Refine research themes and questions through an ideation workshop with academic and industry experts.
